We came in during a total downpour and sat at the outdoor bar. The patio has great coverage from the rain and there was a nice breeze. Our bartender Amira was awesome. So friendly, attentive, and very informative about the drinks and menu. Seems to be having a great time. We just got an app, the loaded tots. They were ok. Nothing amazing but I've had hooters food before and they met expectations. Wish there was some type of happy hour specials. On a nicer day the view would be awesome. Right on the water by the bridge.

The food was good, but the service was horrible. We had a girl with long blonde hair, that kept forgetting everything. She didn't bring utensils until I was almost done feeding my 2 year old. She never came by to check up on us and it took forever to get the check. At this point you probably think that the place was full...it was't. It was empty. There was a few tables occupied and the bar was full. There were enough waitresses around to service everybody on a timely fashion. On a good note, on the way out I asked the hostess to take a pic with my son, and they were all for it. The girls were really nice.

The absolute WORST Hooter's I've ever been to!!! The WORST service; starting with the ladies at the hostess stand! We were a party of six with 2 toddlers & the hostess told us that they only had one 'high' high-chair available (apparently the others were being used). Come to find out from a "manager" (only after asking her if they actually had more because we didn't see any other tables using high-chairs) that they only had the one. The only tables to accommodate a party our size were the high tables yet they only had one 'high' high-chair...that's crazy. This is a tourist location, where people vacation with their children so why in the world would you only have ONE 'high' high-chair at this location? With most Hooter's I've been to you're welcomed with a smile & friendly faces. Not this one...so if you want to continue to have a fun time on the boardwalk try another restaurant. At least maybe you'll feel like they want you business.

It takes forever to get your food, despite the fact it was not busy. Was not impressed. Most of the staff seemed like they had other things to do besides work. Not good compared to other restaurants in the chain.

So you see that "corporate person" apologizing & willing to talk an make up for the problem on my first review? SHE NEVER RESPONDS!!! Such crap!! TYPICAL CORPORATE LIES!!!! DO NOT EAT AT HOOTERS!!!

Alright, now I'm one who wouldn't normally stop for hooters at all. I was so hungry me and my family ended up sitting outside at hooters which was a great view! Watched the bridge rise and everything! Now our waitress was not good at all, she was very nice but spilling a drink all over me and then us finding a hair in our food was a little too much. I will say they did take off the wings we found the hair in which was very very nice but I don't think hooters is somewhere I'd want to go again.

1st...notice any good reviews were over a year ago....sort the reviews by date...then you will know why the following review is spot on. Sent my friends from Germany to this location, even though I no longer frequent this location, as they wanted wings and to experience a Hooters, the world wide chain. I personally have had less than good experiences at this location in the past. As expected, sadly, they had an absolutely awful experience. Weren't greeted, took forever to get a menu, and the food was sub-par. The restaurant was not busy at all. The ladies room was described by my friend as "the filthiest she has seen in America,"....I am ashamed for allowing them to even go to Hooters..... As a local resident, and a Yelp Elite, I will never, EVER go to this Hooters again, and will tell others to avoid this location (and the location at Tyrone Mall) at all cost. This pisses me off, since I really used to like to go to Hooters in general. What a waste of a great chain....what the hell happened to the original Hooters Seven....they should be ashamed too. UPDATE! So, both times I have written a review about Hooters--- both Tyrone Location and Johns Pass location the manager has left a note on Yelp stating she will be in contact....yet no additional contact occurs. So, management acts a good game on Yelp, but doesn't really follow up with solutions although they say, in writing that they will make contact. Rather fishy.......

We came for lunch and got boneless wings and beer. Food was great, service was good. Nice waitress, would have loved maybe a suggestion or two on food and drinks and for her to check back on us more often but otherwise she was pretty good. Will be back again .

Awful experience! Our wings were raw, half our order was missing and the fries were ice cold. Very disappointing as I've been visiting this location every year for 10 years and was always pleased in the past. I will not be back!

Spending the weekend at the beach & thought we'd start the beginning of our fun with dinner at Hooters....well our server was super sweet, never argued, or got fussy despite the group & varying personalities & mistakes with orders....but our food took forever! We could have plucked our own chicken for the wings & caught the fish ourselves & cooked it & it would've been quicker! My moms fish took so long they removed it from the bill....service was hmmmm a 1 out of 1-5 at best, I understand we were a group of 9 but there's few people there so if ur going to add the 18% charge to the bill at least earn it! The first drink ordered Mojito-tasted like sweet sprite was horrible then replacement a Corona, was just a beer & got a light versus what was ordered a regular, "what are u trying to say" lol then knowing when u close most people would ask would u like another beer before we close, no not here, instead our table was told sorry we close at 11 I can bring u water...but then we got no water either....best part was nobody was happy with the food either, it was mediocre at best....so none of us care to return. Then I read previous reviews & wow looks like they need new cooks! Don't waste ur time here just enjoy the view & pics!

I NEVER thought I'd four star a Hooters but you really have to give it to this place for making an awesome seaside bar. The view, the atmosphere, the breeze, the not too hot feel... it's all perfect. Beer was cold, friends were good, strangers were nice, and staff was on point. On a foodie note, don't expect anything elevated. Standard Hooters food, I wouldn't recommend it for anything more than a grease trap with the beer. I'll definitely return.

I took my friend and his wife out to this Hooters location yesterday for a Memorial Day lunch. As I've always been a fan of Hooters wings, I was not a fan of the service. Upon arriving, our server didn't even introduce herself, nor seem personable at all. We were served incorrect drinks based on our orders, and didn't even get an apology. My friend's wife asked for blue cheese for her wings, and was served with ranch. She asked our server again to correct it, and got nothing but attitude. We asked for the manager, and he wasn't even apologetic. The food was great, however I'm more prone to continually visit a restaurant that has great service over the quality of the food. If you like great service, eat elsewhere.

Great service, as usual. Beer is cold & atmosphere is great, right on the water.

Don't bother going here with so many other/better places to go. I just waited 50 minutes to get a simple order and it was COLD. Manager was apologetic but made excuses saying it depends on which server you get. Obviously we lost out.

I like this Hooters. It's got the great location atop the boardwalk at John's Pass so you get great views of the water from the deck section, which is nice. No complaints about the food quality or service, both were good and up to par for those of you who have been to other Hooters restaurants. Definitely worth going to if you're hungry for some good wings and a few beers while at John's Pass.

Well, I'm trying to find something positive to say other than the location is great and our waitress was great, because she was. The food was awful. Like, beyond awful. We were over at Johns Pass for the afternoon to do something outside on a cold (for Floridians) day. I wanted to see some dolphins so we decided to come over and be tourists for a day. We were hungry and since we haven't really eaten at many places at Johns Pass outside of the Friendly Fisherman (we brought them our own catch and they cooked it for us), we decided we would hit up Hooters. I got boneless wings and he ordered regular. These were the smallest boneless wings I've ever seen. I'm trying to think of something to compare them to in size....a little bigger than a quarter maybe? I should have taken a picture as proof. We've been to places before that passed a chicken nugget off as a boneless wing, and these were worse than that. Both of our orders were also an actual, physical representation of an oxymoron because they were watery and dry at the same time- go figure. We didn't even finish them and paid $30 for crappily frozen food. We were just saying we feel a little cheated out of our money. I'd never been to a Hooters before, but I'd always heard they had decent wings. Can't say I see what the hype is about....don't think I'll be going back ever. The food at Johns Pass is meant for tourists- over priced, poor quality junk. Unfortunately this Hooters falls into the same crate o' crap.

So me, my son, and my boyfriend went to Joh's Pass on Labor Day and rented some jet skis. Afterwards we of course were hungry. We decided to go to Hooters and get some wings and hang out for a bit. Our waitress was great. We each ordered our own wings, we also order two orders of fries. I guess Hooters now has food runners, so they brought out my son and my boyfriend's order, but not mine. I thought ok they will go back and grab mine. Well I sat there for about 10 mins, then our waitress came over and realized I did not have my order. She goes and grabs mine, and there is only 6 wings not the 10 I ordered. She said they were making them and she would bring them right out. So I started on the order I had and after eating two of them I realized they were extremely spicy and I ordered teriyaki which isn't suppose to be spicy at all. I asked the waitress when she brought me the other half of my order if the one I had were correct. She looked at them and said no those were the spicy kind. She handled the situation really well, but I think the runners need to check the orders they are bringing out and the cooks need to watch the order they are making.

We enjoyed an absolutely fantastic meal last night at Hooters John's Pass during a visit from NYC. The service was perfect -- attentive, friendly, and helpful -- and the food was very tasty. It was my first time trying Hooters' wings, and now I know what all the fuss is about! The place was hopping and festive, and had a nice mix of families and singles -- though it was busy, the service was prompt and efficient. Next time I plan to try the great looking outdoor seating with a view of the water, and will leave room for Key Lime Pie. :)

If it wasn't "Hooters" and not "On the beach", I would have given one star! My whole experience was below par! Wed. night, not busy, not under staffed. We received our drinks and gave our order. No waitress after that until 3 - 5 minutes after we received our food .... Which was wrong. I did not get mayo for my tatter tots that I asked for and my daughter never got her fries. My husband was out of tea and his hamburger didn't have the mushrooms he requested. The gal that brought he food dumped it off and quickly left while I was explaining that I didn't get my mayo ... She ignored me and I had to ask my waitress when she finally showed up to ask how everything tasted (no smile). She didn't notice my husbands drink and I forgot to ask for that when i asked for the mayo and fries. She walked by once and my hubby held his cup out and shaked the few ice cubes in it and she asked him if he would like another. He said yes. She brought that and we had to get her attention again for the check. As far as the food, the boneless wings tasted frozen, or at least dry and old like they were cooked hours ago. They were a level below warm, so I couldn't call them cold, but I wanted to. My hubby said the burger tasted like a pre made frozen patty, but the bacon was good (we shared it). Ive been to plenty of hooters, being raised in Pinellas, and I have never had a bad experience before. One thing they didn't forget ... To charge for the mushrooms! My 16 year old had mentioned he wanted a pic with a hooters girl before we got there. We went to the bar to get a pic with a pretty girl with a smile before we left. $60 for family of four, and mcdonalds would have been better!

Eat somewhere else.. Skimp you on food to pay rent.. Took forever to order wings, when it was slow. Side order of fries(10-12 fries).. They close at 12 but really 10.. Do yourself a favor and try another local place to eat.. Good luck.. You've been warned.

This is the first time I've complained about food. I ordered a cuban sandwich, it came out cold and the fries were like rubber. I asked if they could heat it up for me and she brought out a new sandwich. As I took a bite, I almost vomited at the table. I opened the sandwich to find rancid smelling, spoiled pork. It smelt as if something died in my sandwich and the scent was making people around us nauseous. I don't know if the chef was mad I asked it to be reheated or if he is clueless to food standards. On the plus side, our waitress was great!

First off I know hooters isn't fancy and the food isn't what people are going for anyway.I had medium spice buffalo shrimp which had no spice just the flavor of generic butter. The only one that seemed interested in how anything was was the male manager. This being hooters you would think the waitresses would be friendlier being it's a service industry job.I don't expect lap dances or her to act like a stripper but I expect a person with a personality. While I was sitting there watching the waitresses seat people there's virtually no interaction no smiles no nothing.I hate to bag on servers because I have worked in restaurants and I get that servers make crap money but hey just being pretty isn't gonna make you good tips good service will.

Humm. Well I'll try to find some good. My son liked his burger. The sodas were OK. Server was nice. I tried to order somewhat healthy so I tried grilled chicken sandwich and splurged on clam chowder. The chowder was milky and from a can. I could not eat it. Tasted horrible. Took a nite of the chicken and I just cannot describe how bad this was. It had a mealy texture that resembled something like a cross between shoe leather and spam. The waitress took the chowder off the bill voluntarily. Because I was with my son and family I did not want to cause a scene so I paid the grossly overcharged bill. The only good part was the kids got to see some dolphins playing in the inter coastal water. Don't stray from wings and beer and you can get by if that's considered a good meal to you. If it's not just pass on by. Go on up Gulf Blvd to Conch. It's a huge improvement and highly recommended.

Ok so we we're here for my 30th birthday Originally from Carrollwood Florida! And I have to say the waitress and staff were okay. But our food was about 40 minutes late, they were not busy, party of 8. Not pleased at all! Food was cold and took way too long! Believe me I love looking at the women hooters has to look at but bad service is bad service. I was going to buy a shot glass but after service I said F*** that!

My family stopped to eat here on our way to Disney World. Ok, can I just say Wow! You are seated right on a big ol balcony overlooking the Ocean. I could smell the refreshing ocean and subtle salt in the air. As we were glancing over the deck into the ocean I saw a whale jumping out of the water. Also dolphins too! Amazing! People- I am from Chicago we just don't see these things in the wild. Beautiful! I will never forget it. Oh yeah, food was good too. Tastes exactly the same as in Chicago.

Hooter's is...well, Hooter's. But importantly, this one here at Johns Pass is pretty unique and earns it 4 stars. First, its located right at the inlet, about thirty feet above the water. That offers a really view if the passing boat traffic, seagulls and pelicans. Second, a bulk of the restaurant is patio (covered) allowing unfettered view if the water. Didn't go for for the food items, but here for the view and a couple beers. A few platters of oysters were served nearby that looked good. Better options for those elsewhere, but a good choice here given the location and the view. Sit at the bar, sip a few and enjoy.

Great location by the water. Their food is average. Burgers and wings are the best things to order.

A large group of us went to Hooters on Saturday evening and had a wonderful experience. We went again on a slow Tuesday night, and had a horrid experience. Ashley, our waitress brought the wrong food, no food and then tried to overcharge us for items. There was no apology and no proactive visit from a manager. We finally called a manager over who offered a cursory apology and adjusted our bill - which was wrong to begin with. After leaving a small and undeserved tip, Ashley referred to me by a very derogatory name, and made sure that I heard the comment. The food is not good enough to compensate for poor, inattentive service - won't be coming back here ever.

Chicken was a tad greasy but my simple salad was great and a few curly fries ha! The view is amazing with dolphins and big boats with people fishing and playing in the water under the warm FL sunshine

Food is the typical cold and soggy Hooters standard. They are just lucky there is a good view of the water.
